My Prince 2 project assurance consultancy service is all about ensuring that all the necessary controls are in place and working effectively while your project is in mid-flow. It may involve any or all of the following plus additional checks, depending upon your requirements:

1. Checking that the right controls are in place to measure performance criteria against project board and stakeholder requirements and acceptance criteria.
2. Evaluating the project’s trajectory against the business case, project plan and/or PID.
3. Ensuring that adequate procedures are in place for project/programme board approval at stage boundaries.
4. Identification of hidden potential risks and benefits to the project.
5. Assessment of the organisational structure of the project - e.g. whether lines of responsibility and authority are properly demarcated.
6. Assessment of whether risks, issues, plans, quality control and so forth are being effectively managed, documented, updated and evaluated.
7. Examining whether your project is harnessing the benefits of lessons learnt from previous experience and also properly documenting lessons learnt for the benefit of future projects.
8. Assessing relationships with, and performance of, third-party suppliers.
9. Examination of communication practices; whether information is being passed between the right people at the right time as set out in the communication plan.
